Member of 7's Gang fatally shot, threat level for cops increase

Following the fatal shooting of a high-ranking member of the 7's Gang on Wednesday, the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has elevated its threat level.

Dead is Shacqol Pounal, otherwise called 'Track Star', of Content Avenue, Kingston 10.

Pounal was a person of interest in a quadruple murder on Ayshire Avenue, Kingston 10 on November 25, 2024, as well as other incidents currently under investigation.

In response to the death of the 7's gang, which operates in sections of Waltham Park, St Andrew, has issued threats of reprisal.

Members of the JCF are urged to exercise extreme vigilance, particularly within the corporate area, and to act lawfully to protect themselves.

The JCF are also warning criminals to surrender peacefully when confronted by law enforcement.

"The JCF remains steadfast in its dedication to maintaining law and order and will continue to pursue those

involved in criminal activities," the force added.

And finally they are urging the public to, "share information on criminal activities by calling anonymously through Crime Stop at 311, the National Intelligence Bureau at 811, the 119 emergency numbers, or visit the nearest police station."
