Farmer killed at home in St Catherine

The St Catherine South police division has launched an investigation into the murder of a farmer who was shot and killed in his yard on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Andre Lewis, 28, a farmer from Blue Lagoon Drive, Hellshire, St Catherine.

Reports are that about 11:17 p.m., Lewis was seated inside his yard when he was pounced upon by a gunman who shot him.

He was assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No motive has been established in Lewis' death.

The Portmore Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the matter.
