69-y-o succumbs to injuries sustained in hit and run

A fatal hit and run has claimed the life of a 69-year-old man in Junction, St Elizabeth on Tuesday.

Dead is Overton Simpson, a farmer of Ridge district, St Elizabeth.

Reports are that about 5:45 p.m., Barnes was walking along Melsham Road.

He was then reportedly hit by a motorcycle, which did not stop.

He was assisted to the Black River Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.

The Junction Traffic Department is conducting a probe in the matter.
