A 65-year-old farmer from Warsop, Trelawny, has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in the parish last July.
The accused, Winston Dixon, otherwise known as 'Steppa', was arrested on Friday, April 18, during a targeted police operation and was formally charged following the execution of a warrant.
The incident took place on July 7, last year. According to the Falmouth police, 29-year-old Ryan Scott, a landscaper from Cooper's Pen in Falmouth, was standing outside a shop with a group of men around 9:45 p.m. when he was reportedly approached by Dixon, who was allegedly armed with a firearm.
