Vendor accused of fatally stabbing woman
A court date is being finalised for 55-year-old Sharon Young, otherwise called 'Roachie,' who has been charged with the fatal stabbing of another woman on Mountain View Avenue in Kingston on Saturday, June 28.
Young, a vendor from Beach Road in Bull Bay, is accused using a knife to stab 56-year-old Nicey Green-Edwards of Long Bay, Portland, during a dispute around 10:30 a.m.
Police say Green-Edwards was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Young was later taken into custody and charged following a question-and-answer session with detectives from the Kingston East Division.
Investigations are ongoing.
