Caregiver charged with stabbing man in chest on Emancipation Day
The Clarendon police have arrested and charged a woman for allegedly stabbing a man in his chest on Emancipation Day.
Charged with wounding with intent is 36-year-old care giver Vanessa Dixon of Coates Pen, May Pen, Clarendon.
May Pen police say that at 9:30 a.m., Dixon and a man were involved in a physical altercation.
During which she allegedly used a knife to stab the man in his chest causing a wound that bled.
The man was taken to the hospital, where he was admitted for treatment.
Dixon later turned herself in to the police and gave a caution statement, afterwhich she was subsequently charged.
Her court date is being finalised.
