Nomination Day for the September 3 general election was a festive affair, as supporters from the Jamaica Labour Party and People's National Party showed off their colours, dancing and singing as their candidates ensured they were on the ballot. A few independents and representatives of smaller political groups also made sure that their voices were heard and that they will have a say on election day.
