Tiler facing gun charges

A tiler is facing firearm and ammunition charges following an incident along Gem Road, Kingston 13 on August 21.

Nickoy Waldron, 24, otherwise called 'Bun Up', of Walters Crescent, Campbell Boulevard, Kingston 11, has been charged with wounding with intent (firearm), possession of prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, and using firearm to commit a felony. Reports from the Denham Town Criminal Investigation Branch are that at 7:40 a.m., a man was on his way home, when he was approached by Waldron who pulled a firearm from his pocket. The man ran, however, Waldron opened gunfire, hitting him twice to the body. The man managed to escape and was assisted to the hospital by citizens where he was admitted in a stable condition.

A report was made to the police and Waldron was arrested and charged. His court date is being finalised.
