Western Bureau:

Pleased with early returns so far in the school's first ever campaign in the St James/Burger King Under-12 netball competition, coach Lillian Panton is now eyeing a spot in the next round, following a close victory over Flankers Primary 8-6 at the Montego Bay Boys and Girls Club.

It is a second win in four games played thus far for the John Rollins girls leaving the coach delighted about their prospects.

"The team put out a lot of effort in this match today," said the coach.

"They are new to the competition and yet the players are just maturing into the games. We've seen where they have improved with every match," she added.

Shooter Nyoka Brown scored all eight goals for winners John Rollins. Tiffany DaCosta and Glenisha Thompson got three apiece for the losers.

Meanwhile, Chetwood Primary cruised past Somerton All-Age 15-6, with Rhonecia Forrester scoring nine goals. Shane Kelly top scored for Somerton with three goals.

In another game, newcomers St Mary's Preparatory crushed Mt Salem 9-0. Goal shooter Vinesha Blake got all nine goals.
