Humble Lion will be looking to bolster their squad during the transfer period with the addition of three experienced players in order to win the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) for the first time.

The Clarendon-based club finished in third position for the past two seasons, and going all out to bring glory to Effortville this season.

They are currently in fourth position on 31 points from 17 games, behind champions and leaders Montego Bay United (35), Tivoli and UWI both on 32 points apiece.

"We have to give thanks for the position we are in coming into the New Year. The team is a little bit off to where we should be. We are not far from the leaders (MBU) who we have beaten twice this season," coach of Humble Lion Donovan Duckie told STAR Sports yesterday.

"We have some areas to improve in the team. Right now, we are looking to bring in about three players who are familiar with the league. We want players who can win the league," he added.

Duckie says no deal is done yet, so he won't disclose the players identity at this time.

Humble Lion next play against Harbour View on Sunday at Harbour View Stadium, starting at 7 p.m.

And, Duckie is looking forward to this game.

"We have played Harbour View already in the first round, and although they are struggling, Harbour View is a big club with quality players. We always play each game to win. This is what we have to do in order to win the league," Duckie pointed out.
