Sunshine Girls defender Malysha Kelly is looking forward to facing national teammate and ace goalshooter Romelda Aiken in this year's Australia Super League Netball competition.

The Australia Super League is scheduled to begin on February 19, and Kelly, who signed a nine months contract with Adelaide Thunderbirds last September, will go up against the Aiken-led Queensland Firebirds in the fifth round of the competition on March 25.

Kelly said since the fixtures were announced, the expected matchup between the two sides has been creating a lot of excitement among fans in Australia.

"It should be a very interesting game because we both play for the same national team," Kelly said in an interview with STAR Sports from her base in Australia yesterday.

"I have never really played against her because she has not been in Jamaica recently during the club leagues and so we only

compete in training for the national team," she said.

"I am sure that Romelda wants to school me, but I am going to prepare and ready to take on that challenge," Kelly said.

The 26-year-old Kelly, who missed the Sunshine Girls' last series against England due to visa issues, noted that she is looking forward to returning to the national side this year.

"I am looking to learning new things and come back and share these with my Sunshine Girls teammates and hopefully, it will help them with their game," Kelly noted.
