Burrell: I am not ready to leave

President of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), Captain Horace Burrell, says he has no immediate plans to give up the country 's top football job.

Burrell, who returned to the island yesterday from an overseas trip, told STAR Sports that he has the full support of the colleagues, and he plans to continue as head of Jamaica's football.

"I am not ready to leave. I enjoy what I am doing and my colleagues are behind me.

"We have lot of plans in place. Within the next 21 days we will make some announcements in terms of going forward, in terms of development, and I am sure the country will be very happy to hear all these plans," he added.

Meanwhile, Burrell who is in third term as JFF president since taking over from Crenston Boxhill in 2007, said he will be holding dialogue with Phoenix Academy founder Craig Butler in the coming weeks.

Burrell said Butler, who is the agent for exciting winger Leon Bailey, has an important role to play in Jamaica's football development.

"There is a place for everyone. I think Mr Butler is an individual who thinks outside of the box and so I think the sooner we all get together, sit in a room and talk football seriously, then I think it will be better for the country.
