Gatlin spotted at former coach's camp

Reigning 100m World Champion Justin Gatlin has been seen at former coach Brooks Johnson's training camp in Orlando, Florida fuelling reports that the two parties are working together again.

Gatlin, has been the subject of criticism throughout his career after serving doping bans in 2001 and 2006. IAAF president Lord Sebastian Coe also publicly made clear his resentment to the American's active status in global track and field.

After beating world's fastest man Usain Bolt at the IAAF World Championships in London, last August, Gatlin came in for further criticism and scrutiny, with British newspaper The Telegraph publishing a story which alleged that members of his team offered to illicitly supply performance-enhancing drugs.

Robert Wagner, who claimed to be Gatlin's agent while being secretly recorded by Telegraph journalists, also alleged that Gatlin himself had been taking performance enhancing drugs. The athlete later denied this in a statement released on December 18. He also fired his coach Dennis Miller, since the incident and threatened a lawsuit against the paper.

Since then, there has been speculation that Gatlin would return to former coach Johnson at his training centre at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World, with Brazilian marathon runner Fredison Costa posting a photo on Instagram with himself and the embattled sprinter at the camp.

Costa, who trains with Johnson, posted the photo with the caption "Wise words from my friend Justin Gatlin: "Listen to your body, listen to your heart, sometimes your mind is going to trick you! But listen to your heart and focus on your purpose." Keep moving forward.
