You slip, you slide! Barbican FC cautious about crucial Super League clash with Real Mona
Leaders Barbican FC will play away to Real Mona in today's feature game of the Magnum/KSAFA Super League competition at Buttercup Park.
Barbican, who are coming off a 1-0 victory over Rockfort in their last encounter, lead Zone A with 20 points from 10 matches.
On the other hand, Real Mona, who have won their last three games in the competition, are sixth in the zone on 12 points.
Christopher James, manager of Barbican, said they are confident of victory.
"I think if our team plays to potential, then we have a very good chance of winning this game," said James.
"However, in saying that, Real Mona is a much improve team because they weren't playing well in the first part of the season. But they have won three games straight now, so we are not taking them lightly," he said.
"I think that every point is vital now because the truth is our zone is a zone of death, so if you slip, you can be in serious problems," James added.
Barbican will be depending heavily on the likes of captain Ramone McGregor, along with Andrew Christie and Shaquille Lewis lead their charge to victory.
