Barbican hunt semi berth against P'broke Hall

May 05, 2018

Former Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) campaigners Barbican FC will be hoping to cement their spot in their semi-finals of the Magnum/KSAFA Super League competition when they host Pembroke Hall in Zone A at the Barbican Complex today.

Barbican, who played in the RSPL in 2015, lead Zone A with 27 points with two rounds of matches remaining in the competition. They are followed by second-place Molynes United who are on 25 points.

Barbican, who are coming off a nil-all draw with Maverley/Hughenden in their last game, are in desperate need of all three points to ensure their qualification to the last four of the competition.

Christopher James, manager of Barbican, said they will be going all out for the win today.

"These three points are very crucial to us because you want to qualify early and you don't want to wait until the last game of the season to do it," said James.

Concerns

We should be able to win this. game but we have played two games now without scoring a goal, so that is a concern for us.

I think we should score some goals and win this game," James said.

Pembroke Hall are at the bottom of the table on 14 points.
