Former champions Herbert Morrison Technical High School have not been able to advance from their zone in five years. However, anything except a loss away to Holland High today will ensure that the two-time rural area kings will take their ISSA/WATA daCosta Cup campaign into the next round.

Herbert Morrison with 15 points, sit second in Zone C, five points adrift of their counterparts, who are in third place, with both having two games to go in the first round. Cedric Titus High School, which has already qualified, lead the zone on 21 points.

"All the games are big games ,so we are just taking the same approach. We are going attacking yes, but we will also remain cautious at the back because if we don't give up a goal we automatically qualify also. From season we have been playing good on the road, so it would be a plus for us tomorrow if we could get the three points there," said coach Leacroft Lettman.

Herbert Morrison have scored 13 goals in their last four games with Lettman crediting this to a heightened confidence within the team.

"The confidence of the boys have really improved. They now believe that they can put the ball in the back of the net. They were always creating but sometimes frustration got the better of them when they don't get in their first chance," said Lettman.

"The last game we went down 1-0 but we didn't panic because we know that we were creating more than six goals per game, so once we got that first one in things just opened up. Even our goalkeeper has scored from a kick out. We have goals coming from all over," he added.

Lettman is aware of the fact that this will be a do-or-die game for Holland, who he is expecting to come out all guns blazing with the crowd support behind them.

"From our coaching courses, we have learnt how to go up against teams that are desperate and at home. We try to do the psychological training before we take on the road. We know that their field is not as smooth as ours and their spectators will be close around the perimetre, but I know my boys are ready," said Lettman.

In all, 13 games will be played across the island today, including the Zone O clash between Morant Bay and Seaforth with both teams hunting the second-place spot, locked on 13 points. Seaforth enjoy a better goal difference, have a game in hand, and will be playing at home. Dinthill and Charlemont - both locked on 20 points, will continue their Zone K battle for top spot, when they host Tacius Golding and Enid Bennett, respectively.

A win for Knox over Spalding will move them from third place and into top spot in Zone G, where they will join Christiana on 16 points.
