Jamaica's senior netball captain, Jhaniele Fowler, says the team is pumped up and ready for today's start of their three-Test Lasco Sunshine Series against arch-rivals England.

The match will be played at the National Indoor Sports Centre starting 7 p.m.

The Sunshine Girls, who are ranked fourth in world, two spots below England in the world rankings, are high on confidence after completing a 2-0 series victory over Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday.

Fowler, who is rated as one of the top goal shooters in the world, told STAR Sports that they are ready and raring to go.

"England are going to give us a different style of play compared to what we got from Trinidad and Tobago," said Reid. "We expect to start very fast.

"I know that we can stand up to England and perform well. It is also very critical that the fans come out and show up for us because we are going to need that extra eighth player on the court, as England are going to come hard at us," Fowler said.

REDEEM OURSELVES

The Sunshine Girls lost by one point to England in the semi-finals of this year's Commonwealth Games in April, and Reid added that they plan to turn the table on their opponents by winning the series.

"It is something that is on our minds because we were one goal away from the final and we want to beat them to redeem ourselves," she said. "We just have to stay calm and collective and just focus on our game and not worry about what England is doing."

The Sunshine Girls attack will be led by Fowler, the team's goalshooter, along with goal attack Shanice Beckford. Other key players include Khadijah Williams and Vangelee Williams in midcourt and top defender Shamera Sterling.

Meanwhile, England coach Tracey Neville said her team is ready to put on a good show.

"I am feeling good because we had a close game against them at the Commonwealth Games to get into the gold medal play- off, and so we know that they are going to come out hard against us," said Neville.
