Leacroft Letman, coach of Herbert Morrison Technical High School, says his side are ready to challenge top ranked Dinthill Technical High in their second round clash in the ISSA/WATA daCosta Cup at Jarrett Park today.

Herbert Morrison is coming into the contest as underdogs are they are seeded 27th in comparison to the Dinthill team which is the number six seed.

Letman said his boys have been playing well lately and if they continue on this trend they could prove tough for the Dinthill team.

"As coaches, we take it that every game is tough. If you go into the game saying it's hard then you have already defeated the purpose. So you have to go in there with your game plan, try to lessen the number of mistakes that are made by our team. If we can manage to do that and capitalise on their mistakes then we will come out on top," said Letman.

"On the day football is football and once our players come out to play it will be a different ball game.

prominent high schools

"With the preparation, we did for preseason I think we have covered grounds and should pay the dividend for us. We played some prominent high schools and the results were fair for us so we are using that to match where we are in comparison to our opposition."

Letman is hoping they can feed off the support from the home crowd also.

"Playing at home is a plus because we can feed off the home support and then take that advantage to go on the road. It can work in our favour as well as it can work against us but we are hoping for it to work to our advantage. I know it will be I tight game but if we allow the final score to be in our favour then it would be a plus," said Letman.

The match is slated to begin at 1pm and is the first of the doubleheader at Jarrett Park as 14th seed Paul Bogle High will tackle the 19th seed St James High.
