Holy Trinity High School's head coach, Devon Anderson, says his team is highly motivated and confident ahead of tomorrow's start of the quarter-finals of the ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup competition.

Holy Trinity, who were beaten by champions Jamaica College (JC) in last year's semi-finals, secured their spot in the last eight after a 3-2 aggregate victory over St Jago.

In fact, Holy Trinity were beaten 2-0 by Jago in the first leg, but managed to bounce back and win the return game 3-0.

They have been drawn in Group G alongside JC, St Andrew Technical, which lost in last year's final, and Wolmer's Boys.

Anderson said their performance against St Jago has given his charges a lot of confidence and they are looking forward to the next stage of the competition.

"Our team's chances are as good as anybody's because we are going out there on a level playing field and everybody is starting from ground zero, because none of the teams has any points," said Anderson.

"To me, we are in the tougher of the zones, knowing that we will be playing against the champions and the beaten finalists," Anderson said.

"Wolmer's are Walker Cup winners for many years, and so it is a very tough group, but we just have to enter each game with a positive mindset," he said.

Anderson added that they are aiming to reach the final of this year's competition and that his players are determined to make that a reality.

"It is a do-or-die situation and we are entering the group to do our best to get further than last year. We went to the semi-finals last year and we plan to go further this year," Anderson said.

"Everybody is upbeat and raring to go, because they know that the victory against St Jago have motivated us. We are on the right track and we are up for the task," he pointed out.

Meanwhile, Group H consists of Kingston College, St George's College, Camperdown and Charlie Smith.
