Luciano Gama, the coach of Montego Bay United, is happy with the results his side have managed to secure recently as the they fight to remain in the Red Stripe Premier League.

The St James-based team squeezed past Reno FC 2-1 on Sunday at Frome Sports Complex to move one point behind Harbour View and it has put a smile on Gama's face.

In fact, MBU is still unbeaten under the Brazilian .

"What I think was most important was the performance we had. Of course, we didn't want to concede any more goals but that's part of the game. When you're playing at high intensity, you must expose something behind and unfortunately, we conceded. However, the team was very good again to don't give up and come out of a situation where the result would not be good for us with a draw," Gama said.

HARD GAMES

"We created more chances than the other games and we don't conceded so much. We have four more hard games (coming up) and we know that if you don't play well and take the points that we needed everything that we did before would be for nothing. We will keep working hard with commitment and I'm sure we are on the right road to achieving our target," he added.

Despite being unbeaten under Gama where they have picked up eight points in four games, MBU have conceded six goals and with the likes of Arnett Gardens, UWI, Portmore and Waterhouse still to come, the onslaught might continue.

"If you saw the number of opportunities Harbour View had against us (a few weeks ago) in comparison to the number of chances Reno had, you would see an improvement. Of course, we work a lot to not concede but it's what we can do now so we just have to continue to work in the defensive zone and offensive to improve everything," Gama said.

MBU still occupy one of two relegation spots in 11th place with 27 points.
