Best

Molynes United

Molynes perfect start to the season continues and they now are in the top two of the points standing. They have now won three straight games with two of those coming from away games. That bodes well for a promoted team targeting the play-offs. They certainly will have nothing to fear when Arnett Gardens come to Drewsland Stadium on Sunday.

Waterhouse

It has been an excellent few days for head coach Marcel Gayle. First his team won the rescheduled fixture against Vere United in midweek, and followed that result with a massive 7-0 drumming of Harbour View on Sunday. Waterhouse are now the pacesetters. They hope to keep their impressive form when they travel to Humble Lion on Sunday. They will have one eye on their Concacaf League quarter-final against Honduran champions Motagua three days later.

Dunbeholden

The St Catherine derby was ugly and few chances were created by both teams, but Dean-Andre Thomas's stoppage-time penalty in the first half was all that was required for Dunbeholden to finally get off the mark with their first win of the season. They badly needed a win and they are not going to care about the manner they went about getting it.

Mount Pleasant

Mount Pleasant is bringing back good times at Drax Hall. Paul "Tegat" Davis registered his first win for Mount Pleasant in the top flight. He hopes that his team is able to build on the performance when they travel to UWI FC this weekend.

Worst

Portm ore United

The defending champions are in the relegation zone after suffering their third straight defeat. They also lost to their rivals for the first time in three meetings. Certainly, this is a scenario that no-one anticipated. Head coach Ricardo Gardner is right in saying that nobody can know who wins the league after three games. But the question that will be asked is, how patient will the Portmore board be if there is no change in the results? Their next game against Harbour View may provide answers.

Tivoli United

Tivoli is in the same predicament as Portmore United as they have lost all three of their opening games and occupy the bottom of the table. Head coach Philip Williams needs a point, any point to build on. They have to get off the mark and quickly on Sunday against Cavalier or there will be questions if Williams is the right man to take the club forward.

Ver e

The battle of the two promoted sides didn't go the way of Vere United. They have lost two in a row but they are in a much better position than some this early in the season. But they need to pick up points as early as they can in the first round. They will travel to Royal Lakes for a tricky game against Dunbeholden who will be energised after claiming their first win of the season.

Harbour View

It's never fun when your unbeaten run comes to an end but Sunday's 7-0 hammering at the hands of Waterhouse could be summed up as everything going wrong for the 'Stars of the East'. Harbour View conceded five goals of those seven goals in the first half, three of them coming in a five- minute span. Head coach Howard Cephas will hope that the result is just an aberration and not a sign in a dip in form. They will be wary of their next game at home to Portmore United who are desperate for a win.
