Olympic sprint legend Usain Bolt was caught in the middle of a brawl after a night out in London last weekend. According to the English publication The Sun, the eight time Olympic champion along with five group of friends clashed with another group while clubbing with stars from the TV show Love Island.

Bolt and his friends reportedly had been in an earlier confrontation with seven East Europeans at the Soho’s Toy Room in the early hours last Friday morning where Love Island winner Amber Gill launched her MissPap clothing line.

Phone footage obtained by The Sun has shown the 33-year-old attempting to diffuse the confrontation, wading into a scrum attempting to break up the fight.

A patron who was at the club described the incident to The Sun as terrifying. “Trouble spilled into the street and it got manic. Within seconds, 30 people were beating c*** out of each other. It all happened so quickly. As soon as it calmed down little one-on-one fights kept breaking out. It was pretty terrifying. I thought it was never going to stop.”

Bolt was photographed arguing with a group of people and seen wrapping his arm around a friend dragging him away from the fight.

The patron added that they managed to find the culprit responsible for the incident. “Bolt was the peacemaker and quickly put his friends in a car before leaving separately in a taxi about 3 a.m.”

A Met Police spokesman confirmed that officers were called in to respond to the incident. “Officers were called to an altercation on Argyll Street at 3.10 last Friday. There was no trace of any victim or suspect at the scene.”
