Arnett Gardens’ Kimani Arbouine handed six-match ban

Arnett Gardens Kimani Arbouine has been handed a six-match suspension and a $10,000 fine by the disciplinary committee of the Jamaica Football Federation(JFF) on Monday for his involvement in a brawl last month.

His suspension comes as a consequence breaching Article 41.6 of the Premier League Club's Association(PLCA) rules and regulations for actions during his team's 2-1 defeat to Molynes United in their Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) fixture on September 22. The sanctions were handed down after the disciplinary committee met last Saturday.

Arbouine was substituted in the closing stages of the game when he jumped the parameter fence at the Drewsland Stadium and got into a physical cconfrontation with an Arnett Gardens' supporter. He was seen on video throwing punches at supporters which started a brawl. He was shown a red card by the referee and had to leave the teams' dugout.

The committee also handed down rulings for various incidents that happened in previous weeks. Humble Lion player Levaughn Williams was given a one-match ban for violent conduct during their game against Portmore United on September 29.

His teammate Mikhail Harrison was also given a one-match suspension and fined $1,000 for foul language when he was a member of Arnett Gardens during their match against Cavalier FC on March 24. Both suspensions have been served.

Touchline ban

Humble Lion head coach was also handed a two-match touchline ban and fined $5,000 after being sent off during the Portmore United game for using abusive and insulting language at the referee. Price served the final game of his suspension last Sunday and will be back on the touchline this Sunday when Humble Lion host Harbour View.

DeAndre Thomas of Dunbeholden served his one-match suspension and $1,000 fine for violent conduct during the match against Cavalier SC on September 1, while the one- match suspensions of Molynes United players Fakibi Farquharson and Nicholas Nelson were upheld and served for red card incidents on September 8 against UWI FC and September 22 against Arnett Gardens, respectively. Farquharson was additional fined $1,000.

In addition, Alwayne Danvers has been deemed ineligible to participate in all football-related activities until he meets with the disciplinary committee as he failed to attend last Saturday's meeting to respond to an offence committed while he was playing for Reno Football Club.
