Edwin Allen’s girls, St Jago’s boys top Central Champs

Edwin Allen High’s girls and St Jago High’s boys are still the queens and kings of the Digicel Central Championships. Both schools retained their team titles on yesterday’s second and final day of the championships at GC Foster College of Physical Education and Sport yesterday. Edwin Allen made it 12 wins in a row after tallying 337.50 points but had to work hard for their title as they had to stave off strong challenges from Hydel High (336.5) and St Jago (325) who finished second and third, respectively.Holmwood Technical (273) and Vere Technical, 124, closed out the top five spot.

Once again it was a commanding victory for St Jago’s boys. They won their 11th championships after tallying 375 points. Edwin Allen were way behind in second on 188. They were followed by Bridgeport High 84, Clarendon College 83 and Charlemont High 80.
