Glen Mills, the man who guided Usain Bolt to multiple world records, hopes the sprinting legend will enjoy fatherhood.

This after Bolt and his long time partner Kasi Bennett welcomed their daughter into the world on Sunday.

"It is his first child and I hope he enjoys being a father and the blessings which normally come with it," Mills said.

Face any pressure

When asked if he believes the child would face any pressure living up to the legacy of her father, Mills said it was way too early for anyone to think about whether the child will become an athlete like her father.

In February, Bolt, who has sped to world record times of 9.58 seconds and 19.19s in the 100 and 200 metres respectively, told reporters at the Super Bowl weekend in Miami, Florida that he might discourage his child from taking up sprinting as she would endure tremendous pressure.

"If they want to do it, I'm fine with it, but initially I am going to say don't do it because I know the pressure that comes along with it," Bolt said at the time.

Bolt's former Racers Track Club teammate Warren Weir also welcomed his second child into the world on Wednesday.

Weir finished third in the 200m at the London Olympics in 2012 when Mills' Racers Track Club swept the medals with Bolt, Yohan Blake and Weir.
