While some clubs have managed to conduct business in the recently closed transfer window ahead of the upcoming National Premier League season, the uncertainty of the proposed start to the 2020-21 campaign has caused Humble Lion not to make any adjustments to their squad.

The summer transfer window, which was revised by the Jamaica Football Federation due to the coronavirus pandemic, closed on Friday as teams prepare for the return of local top-flight football, which is expected to commence on November 14, pending the approval of health protocols.

However, while teams have managed to make additions to their squads, despite awaiting the green light from the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Humble Lion coach Andrew Price said that they could not make deals because of those unresolved issues. Additionally, he wanted to ensure that the players who endured the challenges COVID brought to the league remained.

"Due to the uncertainty of the league, we were not able to do any business, and we had to honour the players who have stayed with us during the whole COVID situation," Price told STAR Sports.

Price's first season with the Clarendon-based club ended abruptly because of the league cancellation in May due to the local outbreak of COVID 19. However, Humble Lion were in fourth place with 46 points at the time.

With the team still training individually, Price said that his immediate concern was getting clarity on the targeted season start.

"What I am really concerned about is the upcoming season, [whether or not] we get a definitive answer from the Ministry of Health and Wellness," Price said.

The upcoming season will be shortened as only two rounds of games will be played before the play-off rounds.
