After a rough start to life in the Premier League with Fulham, national defender Michael Hector could find himself back in the English second tier as Championship side Queen's Park Rangers (QPR) are reportedly interested in his services.

According to senior football writer for The Athletic, Daniel Taylor, QPR are interested in acquiring the 28-year-old defender on loan. It has not been an ideal start for Fulham in their first season back in the English top flight, as they have lost all four games played so far and are languishing at the bottom of the table.

Taylor tweeted yesterday that Hector has found the going tough as of late, after helping the club achieve promotion last season.

"Hector was outstanding last season - a big part of Fulham's promotion to the Premier League - but left out of their last game after a difficult start to the new campaign," he said. That particular game was the 1-0 defeat to Wolves, where he was dropped from the starting line-up after three consecutive appearances so far this season.

With the recent signings of Tosin Adarabioyo and Joachim Anderson at the close of the summer transfer window. QPR would have until Friday at 5 p.m. (11 a.m. Jamaica time), the close of the domestic transfer window, to make a deal. If successful, it would be the 16th different loan move of his career and his 12th club.

Meanwhile, Fulham are expected to return to league play when they travel to Sheffield United on Sunday.
