Montego Bay United (MBU) lost 3-0 to Waterhouse on their return to WesPow Park in St James in the Jamaica Premier League football competition yesterday. Head coach Leacroft Lettman blames it on indiscipline in his squad.

MBU started the game with high intensity, matching Waterhouse for the first half but could not find the breakthrough goal.

They found themselves trailing just five minutes into the second half when Denard Thomas was gifted a free header from an inswinging free kick. Cardel Benbow doubled the lead for the visitors in minute 62 from a penalty.

Substitute Andre Leslie put the icing on the cake four minutes into stoppage time, releasing a powerful shot to the right of the goal after the MBU defence opened for him.

Lettman, who was looking to build on conceding only two goals in three games, rues losing in that matter.

"It's really a tough one at home, especially in how the goals came about," Lettman told STAR Sports. "Two set play goals and the other from a penalty where my player didn't even make a tackle -- the ball was getting away from the [Waterhouse] player and he just turned, walked into my player and fell over. However, this is big man football and my boys have to concentrate and play to the end."

Lettman, whose team has only scored once in his four games at the helm, explained the issues with his players.

"We are looking to move in transition from defence to the midfield and then get things right in offence," he said. "However, our offensive players have not been disciplined, so once they come out to training and work on certain things, we will start scoring goals.

"The player will play according to how they train so if they are not coming out to training, and on time, they won't play. When we have the organised training for the offence, we have limited amounts. Discipline plays a key role in moving forward in everything. It's not that they can't play, but we need to get the fine details right."

Waterhouse assistant coach Damion Gordon is pleased with the tactical execution of his team, to get three valuable points on the road.

"It's a good result coming away from home," he said. "MoBay had a bit of momentum, I think, from the atmosphere of playing at home for the first time in a long while. However, in the second half, I think our quality and experience really showed. Tactically, we were on point with our high press game that we executed very well."

The results see Waterhouse, with 25 points, take the lead on the 12-team table while MBU remain rooted at the bottom of the table with five points.
