Williams, Clayton, Thomas-Dodd all set for Stockholm

National women's 100m hurdles record holder and former World Champion Danielle Williams will be one of three Jamaicans competing in the Stockholm Diamond League today as they look to sharpen their skills ahead of the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Williams, who has a season's best of 12.59s, will compete in a stacked race headlined by Puerto Rican Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, who is ranked first in the world with a season's best of 12.37 seconds.

They will also line up against two Americans Nia Ali and Tia Jones, Nigerian Tobi Amusan, Bahamian Devynne Charlton, Poland's Pia Skrzyszowska, and Nadine Visser of the Netherlands.

Women's 2019 World Championships 400m hurdles bronze medallist Rushell Clayton is another Jamaican in action.

She will compete against Netherland's Femke Bol, Italy's Ayomide Temilade Folorunso, Britain's Jessie Knight, Finland's Viivi Lehikoinen, the United States' Cassandra Tate, and Ukraine's Anna Ryzhykova and Viktoriya Tkachuk.

World Championships shot put finalist Danniel Thomas-Dodd will be representing Jamaica in the shot put event and will go up against American Chase Ealey, who is ranked second in the world, Portugal's world leader Auriol Dongmo, and compatriot Jessica Inchude, Canada's Sarah Mitton, Sweden's Fanny Roos, Netherland's Jessica Schilder, and another American, Jessica Ramsey.

Thomas-Dodd is currently ranked at number 10 in the world for women's shot put.

All three Jamaicans have qualified for the World Championships next month.
