Reggae Girlz lead Mexico 1-0 at halftime in Concacaf Women's Championship

Jamaica leads Mexico 1-0 at halftime of their Group A opener at the Concacaf Women's Championship at the Estadio Universitario in Monterrey, Mexico.

Khadija Shaw gave the Reggae Girlz the lead in the eighth minute with a glancing header.

Jamaica had an opportunity to double their lead from the penalty spot in the 39th minute when Casandra Montero was called for a handball in the box after a Video Assistant Referee review. However Havana Solaun saw her attempt sail over the bar.

Jamaica had six shots with three on target while Mexico had seven shots with two on target.
