World Champions the United States defeated Jamaica 5-0 in their second Group A game of the Concacaf Women's Championship in Monterrey, Mexico on Thursday night.

A brace from Sophia Smith in the fifth and eighth minute, as well as strikes from Rose Lavelle in the 59th minute, Kristie Mewis in the 82nd, and Trinity Rodman in the 86th fuelled a dominant display as Jamaica are yet to beat the Americans in their five overall meetings.

The USA had 20 shots, with 11 of those on target, while Jamaica had four shots with only two on target. The USA lead the group with six points while Jamaica remain on three points.

Jamaica will face Haiti in their final group game on Monday, with an opportunity to qualify automatically for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
