The clock has not struck midnight on Davion Ferguson's tenure as head coach of Jamaica College, as he is looking forward to marshalling the sidelines for the reigning Manning Cup champions later this year.

Ferguson was speaking last Saturday after taking charge of the All-Manning/All-daCosta All-Star game, an encounter which ended in a 3-2 win on penalties for the All-daCosta team. Ferguson took charge of the All-Manning team which included seven players from Jamaica College in a game that he said he was happy to be part of.

Ferguson had said he was not sure of his future beyond the last campaign after guiding Jamaica College to their 31st Manning Cup title and the Champions Cup in December. He is also juggling duties as the assistant coach of Jamaica Premier League outfit Mount Pleasant. He said that he would assess his options at the end of the Olivier Shield final last month, but he reaffirmed his commitment to the Old Hope Road-based institution.

"As far as I know I'm at JC, and as far as I know I am preparing for the season to come," Ferguson told STAR Sports.

Ferguson says that he has more to give to the school after winning three titles in two seasons with the school and although he has to manage his other commitments, he feels that it is not yet the time to leave.

"I have a lot more runs left in me. Sometimes when you are in a situation like what we have at JC and what I have outside of JC sometimes you have to just really take stock," Ferguson said. "Sometimes you need a break. But I don't think it's the time for a break right now."

Ferguson was pleased with the display of the All-Manning team and the time he got to spend with them, letting them showcase their talents with as little pressure as possible.

"It was more about organising them and giving them as little information as possible because this is a transition game. At the end of the season, you want to just let down and have fun. So it was more about them having fun, utilising the opportunity.
