National midfielder Junior Flemmings will have a chance to get his European adventure back on track consistently as a member of Chamois Niortais FC in Ligue 2 in France.

Chamois Niortais announced the signing of the 27-year-old Flemmings on Tuesday at the close of the European transfer window. Flemmings is loaned from Ligue 1 Toulouse FC for the remainder of the season. The deal does not include an option to buy.

Flemmings signed with Toulouse in January last year and helped them earn promotion to Ligue 1, although he only made three appearances during his first six months.

Playing time, however, was difficult to come by in their first season back in the top flight, having only made the match-day squad once in October in their 4-2 win over Montpellier. He made one appearance for Toulouse B in the National 3 league in September but has not managed to break into the squad.

Flemmings will be joining Chamois Niortais, who are currently in a relegation battle in the French second tier and currently at the bottom of the table with 17 points. Additionally, Chamois Niortais on Wednesday parted ways with Rui Almeida four months into his one-year contract after being winless in their last four league matches.

Flemmings will now be under the guidance of Oumar Tchomogo who has been appointed interim head coach for the remainder of the season as Chamois Niortais look to avoid relegation.

This will be Flemmings' second French team in a year after ending his United States of America (USA) last year with spells in the United Soccer League (USL), the USA/s second tier.

Flemmings was expected to make his debut for Chamois Niortais on Friday as they travel to 17th-place Dijon.
