Waterhouse failed to reclaim the fifth spot in the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) after playing to a 0-0 draw with Dunbeholden at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex last night.

The Drewsland-based Waterhouse slipped one place to sixth in the points standing after 10-man Humble Lion defeated Tivoli 1-0 at the same venue yesterday to move three points clear into fifth on 33 points.

The intense affair could have gone either way, as Kenly Deacon, Damion Binns and Denardo Thomas had good shots at goal for Waterhouse, while Rohan Brown and Stephen Barnett came close for Dunbeholden in the first half.

In the second stanza, Dunbeholden had great chances through Peter McGregor and De Andre Thomas, but goalkeeper Kemar Foster denied both.

Devroy Grey also had a good header for Waterhouse, but goalkeeper Carlos Robinson was well placed.

Despite not getting the win Dunbeholden's assistant coach Craig Richards noted it was their first point in four games.

"The point is a positive for us. We have not done too well in the last few games. Unfortunately, we were unable to score, but we defended well and we are going to take this as a positive going into our next games," he said.

Dunbeholden, with 26 points in eighth place, are five points off Waterhouse.
