The Social Development Commission National Cal's sponsored Twenty20 (T20) Community competition made its way to Sir P Oval in Treadlight Clarendon, with former champions and 2021 finalists Race Course securing a 54-run victory over Bushy Park in the second game of a doubleheader on Sunday.

Race Course batted first and posted 194 for six in their 20 overs, with former national player Dwight Stewart top scoring with 50 not out, while former National youth player Albert Gopie chipped in with 41 against two wickets for 36 runs from Anthony Brown.

Gopie returned to grab a wicket while conceding 10 runs from three overs, as Bushy Park reached 140 for three in 20 overs. Kiron Thomas made a valiant attempt in the chase following his even half-century, with Abner Gordon also making a fist of it with 31.

In the earlier game, May Pen Lions made light work of Vernamfield Royals by coming away with an eight-wicket win.

Dantay Dillion starred with the ball for the Lions as he bagged four wickets for 25 runs to restrict the Royals to 134 in 20 overs. Odane McCatty took two wickets for 28 runs, despite 34 from Franklyn Waugh.

Oniel Roberts then hit 52, and Randre Christie 51 not out to guide May Pen Lions to 135 for two in 14.2 overs. Tieno Osbourne made 25.

Over at the Paradise Cricket Ground in Westmorland, another doubleheader unfolded, with the opening match seeing Orange Hill demolishing Kentucky by 10 wickets. Kentucky was blown away for 23 runs in 8.4 overs, with Ewan Andrews taking five wickets for one run in two overs. Orange Hill then raced to 26 without loss in 3.4 overs.

In the second game, Whitehouse defeated Grotto by 30 runs. Whitehouse first made 100 for six in their 20 overs, with Lamar Campbell getting 33. Nickoy Green then bagged three wickets for 11 runs to restrict Grotto to 70.
