Christopher Lamont continued his good form with the ball as his superb final over bowled Middlesex Titans to their second win of the Dream XI-sponsored Jamaica T10 competition after their one-run win over Cornwall Warriors at Sabina Park yesterday.

Titans first posted 88 for seven and then restricted Warriors to 87 for eight, with Lamont bagging three wickets in the final over of the innings while conceding just five runs to seal the win.

Warriors' captain Damion Ebanks, who top scored with 38 runs, lamented their demise after they cruised to 68 for two in the sixth over, chasing the gettable total.

A couple of wickets from left-arm seamer Andell Gordon compounded Warrior's problems, as they got the encounter down to six runs to win in the final over with six wickets in hand.

In came Lamont, whose first over went for 13, and the left-arm spinner pegged things back by bowling Tavi Spence for five, having Andre Walker stumped, also for five, and bowling Andre Blake for nought. He ran out Lennox Simpson to seal the dramatic win.

Earlier, Albert Gopie top-scored with 28 in the Titan's total of 88 for seven, with Andre McCarty and Walker bagging two wickets each.

Despite the Man of the Match award going to Ebanks, Lamont was pleased that his performance led Titans to their second win and third place in the standings.

"It is good to bowl my team to victory because we lost the game yesterday, and it is good that we could bounce back. I have been bowling consistently and training really hard, so it is good to see the results of all that hard work."

The left-arm spinner currently leads the tournament with nine wickets after three games, and the St Ann Cricket Association representative has his sights set on getting another opportunity in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) after representing Jamaica Tallawahs and St Lucia Stars.

"I have been working hard to get back into the CPL, and I know I have the ability to go all the way," Lamont said.
