Edwin Allen's Tonyan Beckford struck gold in the Open girls' 400 metres hurdles after a personal best of 56.70 seconds at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Athletics Championships at the National Stadium tonight.

Teammate Natasha Fox took the silver medal in 57.94 seconds while Hydel's Aaliyah Mulling secured the bronze medal in 58.96.
