Go with Traveller’s Lodge in Reggae 6

TRAVELLER'S LODGE appears the only safe bet on Saturday's Reggae 6, though it is always a nervy affair to close any wager with a banker. TAPPININ struck at 24-1 in Sunday's sixth event, crashing many Reggae 6 and Twilight 6 bets, resulting in handsome payouts of $180,373 and $54,651, respectively.

However, ditch superstition and go with TRAVELLER'S LODGE's form in Saturday's sixth. Returning off a five-month lay-up on April 1, TRAVELLER'S LODGE finished third of 10 runners at five furlongs straight, touched off close home by closer AMAD ALI, after chasing the pace from the off.

With ADENOSINE drawn at post-position one and speedy DEGAULLE at stall three to keep him hemmed in heavier ground, TRAVELLER'S LODGE should have his way against new-to-the-class SHE'S PRADO on the faster stands' side.

DEGAULLE is quick but plagued by unsoundness, oft slowing down rapidly inside the final furlong. DEGAULLE could outspeed TRAVELLER'S LODGE for the first four furlongs but should get rolling in time to grab the speedster close home.

Having galloped five furlongs since his comeback run, clocking 1:04.1 minutes on the round course, TRAVELLER'S LODGE appears sharp enough to reel in short-running DEGAULLE whenever the speedster blows a fuse.

For the Reggae 6 opener, JAMALJAMES appears a tempting banker. That's the event in which such a chance should not be taken. KINGSWOOD is known to turn around his form at the drop of a hat.

CRIMSON and BUG JULE are the obvious choices in the second whereas COTTERWOOD KATHY, SNEAKY JOE and POTENTIAL are all worth carrying in the third.

Take no chances with the fourth. Any of UNCLE NUB, EL AFORTUNADO, ERTUGRUL, KAI ON THE GO, FLYBLUEJET and BAZINGA could win, depending on the speed factor and a possible collapsing pace.

MAGNIFICENT FORCE and PRINCE AMAAN are not to be separated in the fifth, renewing rivalry at five furlongs straight. MAGNIFICENT FORCE might have finished ahead of PRINCE AMAAN when COMMANDER Z outclassed both. However, PRINCE AMAAN might have been playing possum for his follow-up victory among local maidens.
