When the Grand Slam Track Series gets under way in Kingston, Jamaica, at the National Stadium from April 4-6, six more Jamaicans will join the multiple stars already invited.

Grand Slam Track, the golden home of professional track and field -- launched by four-time Olympic champion Michael Johnson -- released the names of the challengers on Thursday for the first meet.

Leading the Jamaican contingent is Tokyo Olympic Games 110m hurdles gold medallist Hansle Parchment. He will be joined by fellow 110m hurdler Orlando Bennett and 400m hurdles specialist Malik James-King.

On the women's side, Budapest World champion in the 100m hurdles Danielle Williams will headline the female contingent. She will be joined by Shiann Salmon, a Paris Olympic Games 400m hurdles finalist, and Alana Reid, the World U20 100m champion and a member of Jamaica's 4x100m relay team, which was a finalist at the Paris Olympics.

These six athletes will join four other Jamaicans among the 48 competitors already invited to the Slam Series.

Those previously announced include 400m hurdler Roshawn Clarke and 100m sprinter Oblique Seville on the men's side, while sprint hurdler Ackera Nugent and 400m specialist Nickeisha Pryce lead the female invitees.
