Cavalier clip Mount Pleasant with last-minute penalty

Cavalier FC got the better of Mount Pleasant Football Academy 2-1 today at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex through a last-minute penalty from Richard King, in Jamaica Premier League (JPL) action.

Dwayne Atkinson opened the scoring for Cavalier in the 11th minute, before Odean Pennycooke levelled proceedings with an acrobatic finish in the 24th minute.

With just seconds left on the clock, Cavalier would snatch the win as King converted a penalty in the fifth minute of time added.

Cavalier, now on 66 points, remain fourth in the standings, moving three points clear of Portmore United in fifth on 63.

Mount Pleasant maintain their lead atop the standings with an unassailable 87 points.
