Moore aims to extend winning streak
Following her recent qualification in the women's 200m for the Tokyo World Championships after winning the event in a personal best 22.40 seconds in Austria, Ashanti Moore will be hoping to maintain her winning form when she leads eight Jamaicans today at the Serbia Athletic meet inside the Beograd Athletic Stadium in Serbia - a World Continental Tour Bronze meet.
Coming off back-to-back wins in Europe in the half-lap event, she will, however, turn her attention this time to the women's 100 metres.
A seventh-place finisher in the event at the National Senior Championships, Moore will be hoping to better her season-best 11.08, clocked in the semi-finals at the National Senior Championships.
Another Jamaican to contest the event will be Krystal Sloley, who has a season best 11.16 and was a semi-finalist at the National Senior Championships.
Two other Jamaican females at the meet will be involved in field events. Multiple national shot put champion, Danniel Thomas-Dodd, will contest that event, while former national champion Kimberly Williams will compete in the women's triple jump.
There will be two Jamaican entries each in the men's 100m and 110m hurdles. Julian Forte and Dominic Williams will contest the 100m, while Dejour Russell and Lafranz Campbell will compete in the 110m hurdles.
