August 12, 2025

Sabrina Lyn and Collin McKenzie won medals in the 100m breaststroke in the female and male competition, respectively, at the Junior Panam Games in Paraguay on Sunday.

The medal haul started with Lyn in the women's 100m breaststroke clocking one minute, 09 seconds, just fractions behind gold medallist Marie Santos of Panama's one minute, 08.44 seconds to secure a historic silver medal for the island.

Her teammate Collin McKenzie would take the pool soon after to compete in the men's 100m breaststroke final.

His time of one minute, 01.53 seconds was good enough to secure a bronze medal and a national record.

McKenzie's countryman Kito Campbell finished seventh in one minute, 02.96 in the same race.

The team will continue the hunt for medals with representatives in the male and female 100-metre butterfly and in the mixed 400-metre freestyle relay.
