Reggae fusion group Kuzikk is making a powerful statement with the release of the new single, One Strong Africa.

The track is a heartfelt tribute to the resilience and unbreakable spirit of the African continent and its diaspora, encouraging solidarity and hope through vibrant rhythms and meaningful lyrics. The group noted incidents such as the ongoing violent surges and anti-government protests in Kenya, and rebel advances in eastern Congo. Seeing these heartbreaking events in the news deeply moved the members and motivated the song's creation.

"We want the single to inspire people not only living or working on the continent but for descendants of African heritage everywhere to embrace their roots and come together as one," said group member Kamau Imhotep.

Fellow member Kool Johnny Kool, added, "This song is a celebration of culture, history, and is a reminder of the power that comes from unity. We, as a group, have witnessed the success that results from being a unified force." Having gained significant momentum with previous releases, including the breakthrough EP Hot Wata, Kuzikk's latest offering solidifies its position as one of the most exciting rising acts in the reggae and Afro-fusion scenes.

One Strong Africa is produced by Jelani Morgan, Kamau Imhotep's son, under his Sii Music label. The track reinterprets the iconic Black Uhuru's 1983 hit Solidarity, echoing similar themes of liberation, social justice and Rastafarian spirituality, and delivering a nostalgic blend of roots-reggae with contemporary global sounds such as South London-style drill beats, which caught the attention of his father.

"My father had heard me sampling the song and took an interest in the beat as he thought Kuzikk could deliver a different sound bridging the old school and the modern together. We went to the famous Mixing Lab Studio to record the track, which transformed into the empowering One Strong Africa and the rest was history," said Morgan.

Krysi Webb, the lone lioness of Kuzikk, said that recording the track and shooting the video was an incredible experience.

"We're always full of energy, creativity, and just joy," Webb said. "I'm especially hopeful we can share this message live and connect with audiences across Africa. I hope this project opens doors for me and the group to tour the continent and celebrate our music with fans there."
