CAYMANAS PARK, St Catherine:

Internationally renowned jockey Javier Castellano will compete in the highly anticipated Mouttet Mile. Castellano, celebrated for his remarkable achievements on the global stage, will be aboard the Port Royal Sprint winning horse RIDEALLDAY, bringing an extra measure of prestige to the event.

A Hall of Fame jockey known for his skill, experience, and competitive spirit, Castellano, a Venezuelan in American thoroughbred racing, boasts multiple major wins, including victories at the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Breeders' Cup.

His decision to debut at Caymanas Park aboard RIDEALLDAY has generated widespread anticipation, both locally and abroad, even while the jockey expressed anticipation for riding at Caymanas Park's marquee race day.

"I'm very excited to be part of a great day of racing at Caymanas Park, and the opportunity to ride in the Mouttet Mile and on a nice horse in RIDEALLDAY," he said. "Grateful for the opportunity from all the connections. It's going to be an awesome day," he said.

Castellano's pairing with the Philip Feanny-conditioned three-year-old colt is expected to be a formidable combination that racing fans will be eager to watch. The United States-bred RIDEALLDAY has demonstrated impressive form, displaying both speed and stamina, underscored by the Port Royal Sprint victory.

Confirmation of Castellano's participation signals an electrifying matchup and adds international flair to the competition.

"We are excited to welcome Javier Castellano to Caymanas Park for the Mouttet Mile," said Solomon Sharpe, executive chairman of Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited, operators of Caymanas Park.

"Based on the entrants in this year's Mouttet Mile, it's poised to be a very competitive race. RIDEALLDAY gave us a glimpse of his capabilities when he took the Port Royal Sprint earlier this month, earning an automatic entry to the Mouttet Mile. With an internationally experienced jockey like Castellano in the saddle, we may see an even better performance come December 6," he added.

"What we're sure of is that with the level of competition among all the contenders, punters are in for a treat. We encourage the fans to come out to watch this high-quality race live right here at Caymanas Park."

The Mouttet Mile is one of the Caribbean's most prestigious horse racing events with a US$300,000 (approximately J$48 million) purse on offer, drawing top contenders and elite talent from around the world. The 2025 staging is anticipated to attract large crowds, media coverage, and increased global attention to the Jamaican racing circuit, especially as the industry returns to full strength post-Hurricane Melissa.
