Sleeping with my mother's friend

Dear Pastor,

I am 17 years old and I am in high school. My mother has three of us. Her last child is six years old.

From I was 16 years old, I have been having sex with a man who is twice my age. He is a good friend of my mother. I did not know that my mother suspected that I was having sex with him.

One month ago, one of the stores where my mother took out a refrigerator threatened that they were coming to repossess it.

I told this man about it and he said that he could not allow that to happen. He asked me for the information and I gave it to him. He went to the store and found out whether it was true.

Then he gave me money for myself and some to pay the store. After I went to the store, I told my mother that I paid the money and she asked me where I got it from.

I told her and tears came to her eyes. I told her, also, that this man loves me and has been giving me money to go to school and, she said she knows that.

She said she also knew that I was having sex with him and told me to be careful.

I did not admit that we were having sex. I am afraid to tell her the truth. What do you think I should do?

Your mother knows exactly what is going on, so you don't need to be scared about anything.

You mother feels bad about the situation that you are in, but she is understanding of the circumstances.

As I see it, you don't need to say anything to her, but you need to take her advice. It is sad that you are having sex and with your mother's friend. Be careful.

If you feel you must have sex, use protection.
