My man is going through a rough time

Dear Pastor,

I have so many things to tell you. I am 28 years old and I have a boyfriend who is 50 years old. He has two restaurants.

We have been together for the past three years. It's been so hard, but I am here helping him in whatever way I can.

Pastor, believe me that I have done my best. He has been through so much.

He bought a car, and not even a week had passed when the car got stolen. He sent his mother to collect some money that he had saved from when he was abroad working, and by the time she reached home, three men robbed her.

He had a shop in Portmore and the owner sold the building while he was occupying it. It has been rough over the past few years.

Pastor, can you tell me when it is the best time for me to call so we can talk, please?

Dear S,

I know that you are concerned about what's happening to your man. And that is why you are trying to reach out for help.

But, your man should really make an appointment to see a family counsellor. You believe that you should see me, but I would not see you without him because the questions I may ask, I doubt you would be able to answer them.
