I want this old man for myself

March 21, 2019

Dear Pastor,

I am a second-year student in college. I am 20 years old, and I am having a very difficult time. It is not easy to make ends meet.

I am living with my parents, who are very poor, and I do babysitting on weekends to help myself in school.

Recently, I developed a relationship with a man who is the same age as my father. I was the one who approached him because he lives on the other side of the house where I babysit.

He was always smiling at me when he saw me, so I decided to try my luck with him.

One Saturday, he was cooking, and I could smell his food. I told him that I liked what I smelled and I would like some of it. He agreed and said that he would let me taste his hands.

That was my opening to this man. We started talking, and another evening, when the lady I was babysitting for came home and I was leaving, the man saw me and offered me a ride.

I told him that I believed that he 'set' for me so that he could see me when I was leaving, and he said, "You damn right."

That evening, I did not go home right away. He took me out, and we sat down and talked for a long time I told him my problems and how difficult it was for me financially.

He gave me $5,000 and promised that he would give me more. He told me that he was married but that his wife was away. I told him that I did not want to get involved with a married man. He said that he did not want to get involved with his daughter because to him, I was a daughter.

IN HIS BED

After three weeks, I was in this man's bed on top of him. He was not moving. I had to ask him what was wrong. He paid every bill for me after that and bought every book I needed.

When his wife came back to Jamaica, I stopped talking to him and he behaved as if he didn't know me. But he would slip an envelope underneath the door with my name on it when he knew I was at work. I love this man so much. I don't know what to do.

My father tries his best to help me, but what he gives me is not enough. This man tells me that he has two children, a boy and a girl, who are in college, too. One is graduating this year.

Do you think I am bad, Pastor? I know I am not. This man has made me love older men. I had a boyfriend, and I broke up with him because he always wanted to tell me what I should wear but he never bought me underwear. All he wanted from me was sex.

If this man and his wife were not getting along, I would have taken him away for myself. Do you think this is wrong, Pastor?

O.P.

Dear O.P.,

I am not going to call you a bad girl. You have to find a word to describe yourself. This man told you that he was married from the very outset. You tricked him.

You charmed him right at his house. He lives on one side of the house where you work, and you were watching him for a long time, unknowingly to him.

You are a clever girl. You know how to entice a man, and you know that some men are weak, so you used that body of yours to catch him.

He has been a good help to you financially, but please don't continue to do things that will bring conflict between him and his wife. Don't go further with this relationship, please, I beg you.

Pastor
