Daughter driving me crazy

June 08, 2020

Dear Pastor

I thought being a mother would have been a joyful experience. At first it was, but sometimes I can't take the trouble. My life has changed so much. I try my best to be a good mother, but sometimes I can't take the trouble my daughter gives me.

Sometimes I feel like I would hurt her, Pastor. I am laid off and I am at home and I try to do everything to make everybody happy. I cook, I clean and I take care of the baby. I log on to online schooling. I do the classes with her.

I keep the place clean and when my spouse comes in, he gets his dinner. The place is clean and everybody is happy, except me. I am trying to be a Christian.

I pray every day and every night, and yet my daughter still misbehaves. I am having breakdowns and want to hurt her. I have no help on hand and it seems sometimes like the world is crashing in. I hope my experience with motherhood would change.

For now, I don't think I want another child. I am 31 years old. Pastor, sometimes I feel like giving up, but I am praying every morning and night for God to keep me. Sometimes I see improvements, sometimes I feel as if I am back where I started.

I wish men knew how hard it is to be a woman, to have a child, to raise them, and to take care of them daily. Please, I am asking for your prayers and any other Christian out there that believes in God to pray for me, as some mothers have it harder than some mentally. Keep up the good work, Pastor. And God bless you. Thank you.

Dear..

I can promise that I will remember you in prayer, but I want to urge you to seek professional help. You do need to sit with a family counsellor. You need therapy, otherwise you are going to suffer from depression and stress.

So kindly try and make an appointment to see a family counsellor. I am glad that you are praying and reading your Bible but you need to attend church also.

Please try to resist any temptation to hurt your daughter, and whenever you feel overwhelmed, try and call friends and talk to them and tell them how you feel.

Pastor.
