Desperate to find a job
Dear Pastor,
I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to you because I need a job. I lost my job a few months ago and since then I have applied for multiple jobs and I have yet to receive a call back. I know that you are not able to employ me but I am hoping that you know someone who may be able to employ me, or someone who reads your column may come across my letter and may be able to do so. I have very good passes at Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate level and I am two semesters shy of a university degree. Additionally, I have two years' experience in an office setting environment where I did sales, technical support, data entry and customer service. I am hoping to get a job in an office or in an area where my qualifications will be of value.
Job Seeker
Dear Job Seeker,
I have got many letters from people seeking jobs and the requests come from persons of all ages. Sometimes I can only empathise with the people who have written because not many business people are employing folks these days. Some have had to cut staff because of the pandemic. Nevertheless, I will publish your letter, hoping that someone would employ you. You are not looking for a handout, you are not seeking a man to help you because you are a female and you are seeking a job. You are an ambitious young woman. I hope all will go well for you and that indeed you will be able to graduate from university with your degree. I hope that you would continue to pray and that God will provide for you. I will get in touch with you quickly if someone would like to employ you. Don't stop applying everywhere for jobs. My prayers are with you.
