Pastors say my son is demon-possessed

December 17, 2021

Dear Pastor,

I am tired and at the end of the rope, so to speak. I lost my job after the lockdowns. Losing my job has affected me adversely, but the problem which is driving me into depression is my son. He goes insane every other week. First, it was every two weeks and then it stretched into every week. At first, medical intervention was sought publicly and privately, but this did not stop him from getting sick at certain times. He would complain of seeing black snakes in the house and he would speak in different voices. He smokes but he wasn't smoking when he got sick. He wanted to quit.

I took him to various pastors and all of them admit his attacks are from demonic forces. Some want to charge money that I don't have and I feel like others are not able to remove them. Whenever he is better he tries going back to school and if he is to start on a Monday, on Sunday night at midnight he would go into madness again. I have no money because of all the natural remedies and the constant travelling back and forth to various pastors to help him without success. I know who did this to him because they threatened to do it to someone else and even mentioned my son in the threat. What can I do, Pastor? He is a brilliant boy and will succeed in any field he goes into. He is very good at math. He is my only son. Please reply soon. Thank you very much.

Distressed Mother

Dear Distressed Mother,

I have observed that you have not mentioned whether you took your son to see a psychiatrist or even a clinical psychologist. You mentioned taking him to many pastors and some of these pastors were charging you. It is unfortunate that you put confidence in these pastors, but not in psychiatrists. You believe that your son is possessed with demons. If these pastors could help him, why do they charge you? The fact that they suggest that you pay them should tell you that these pastors are not telling the truth. Any person who has power to heal a person who is possessed will not charge.

When Peter went down to Samaria, according to the Book of Acts and Simon, the sorcerer saw people being healed, he offered Peter money and asked him to give him the gift to heal the sick and to cast out devils. Peter told him to keep his money and told him [in the King James Version of the Bible] ' Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money'. Peter then called on Simon to repent.

I do not know what's really wrong with your son, but I urge you to seek special deliverance for him through prayer and fasting. But at the same time you should take him to see a psychiatrist. I will be praying for you.
